Abstract

Coverage, contactability and response rate for surveys by landline phone in Switzerland are dropping. But CATI interviews keep being a major survey mode in this country. Based mainly on Swiss ESS 2008 data, this contribution investigates the socio-demographic and attitudinal bias possibly caused by the lack of inclusion in the sampling frame and the lack of accessibility in unimode telephone surveys.
