Abstract

Researchers from the University of Tartu newly published report “Estonian residents’ attitudes towards democracy”, which is based on European Social Survey data. The study showed that although democratic norms are widely appreciated in society, democratic values are not yet universal. The less educated and less well-off people consider democratic governance unimportant.
